Holiday Poetry Hotline

Call in on Saturday December 21, 2024 – 2pm-5pm PST

Holiday stress doesn’t need to get us down when we have poetry to connect to our shared humanity. Call into our hotline for our poetry prescriptions to help comfort and lift up our spirits.

All month of December 2024, call into the Holiday Poetry Hotline hosted by West Hollywood City Poet Laureate Jen Cheng. Recordings are available 24/7 during this Hotline period, featuring “poetry prescriptions” to respond to common ailments of holiday blues. The Hotline will feature poems from former West Hollywood Poets Laureates Steven Reigns, Kim Dowers, Charles Flowers, and Brian Sonia-Wallace, and current Poet Laureate Jen Cheng. People are encouraged to call in to 310-853-3952 during the Live Hotline Hours of 2pm-5pm PT on Saturday December 21, 2024 when callers can enjoy live readings from the curated list of “poetry prescriptions” or request a custom poem.
